I am graduating in December 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in English-Creative Writing and a minor in Spanish. I am the current President and Founder of the Seton Hill Martial Arts Club (SHMAC) and Seton Hill's Film Club. In the Spring, I will be doing the Disney College Program at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The liberal arts have been a huge part of my time at Seton Hill University. They are requirements, yes, but they have allowed me to take classes in different fields that may not have fit into my schedule otherwise. When I first came into college, I realized quickly that I did not know what I wanted to major in. In my first year, I took three Spanish classes, an education class, two theology classes, a communication class, an Arabic class, a French class, and Western Cultural Traditions. In many other universities, I would not have been able to take such a variety and with such ease. Also, as a writer and filmmaker, taking classes in a variety of disciplines has expanded my base of knowledge to draw from creatively. To create my Honors Capstone project, a short film, I took an English class (The Art of Film), a Theatre class (Dramatic Writing), a Forensic Science class (Fundamentals of Criminalistics), and a Criminal Justice class (Study Abroad in London). All of these classes and more I took with an open brain and the mindset that I never know what I will be able to use. For example, my Western Cultural Traditions class was taught by Dr. Crain, who made the experience of this history/culture class the most story-like I have ever experienced. Also, I never expected freshman year that getting to know Theatre majors as friends would help me when I would decide later to make a movie. I have valued every experience I have had at college.
